PROJECT THRIFT
Let's fight climate change together
Welcome to Project Thrift. We are three girls, concerned about the state of our planet and wanting to help in any way we can. Climate change is advancing quickly and every little bit of help is necessary. That is why we have created Project Thrift, a pop up thrift shop first launching at the Stackt Market. Our goal is to restore the environment in our community. The reusing and recycling of clothes not only reduces textile waste, but also allows pieces to serve various people in different ways. Our profits will be donated towards Greenpeace Canada, which is a charity working to minimize the impacts of climate change. By supporting Project Thrift, you will be helping to restore the planet.

ABOUT PROJECT THRIFT
Who We Are
We are a charitable pop up thrift shop located at the stackt market in downtown Toronto. Project Thrift sells fashionable used clothes in excellent condition. We have items all the way from everyday casual wear to designer finds. However, we are only open for a limited time, so hurry in before time runs out! We look forward to seeing you there and helping you find some items that are right for you!

OUR PURPOSE
Why?
We were inspired to create Project Thrift after spending time in Halong Bay, Vietnam, and seeing the tremendous amount of waste that has littered one of the natural wonders of our Earth. The purpose of this thrift shop is to sustainably recycle clothes within the community and reduce the amount of waste that the production of clothing causes. Every year, the world consumes approximately 80 billion new pieces of clothing and consumers throw away, on average, 70 pounds of unwanted clothes per person. Instead of constantly purchasing new items which will inevitably be thrown into a landfill, why not support sustainability and reuse someone's old items for a better purpose? We at Project Thrift hope to reduce the amount of textile waste by promoting the reusing and the recycling of clothing. In addition, 100% of our profits will be donated to Greenpeace Canada, which is a non-profit organization that helps to reduce the impacts of climate change.
